Seger is a beach in Lombok, which is located on south of central Lombok, about 1.5 hours driving from Mataram. You can see natural beauty of the beach from some stone rocks that standing around the coast. Lanscape from above the stone rock is very amazing, as though you see a mini heaven there. If you sit down and pay attention to Seger from the rock, you will not miss your hometown because of magnificence of the beach. Be careful if you want to stand up on the edge of the rock, sure you don’t want to suffer the same fate with one of the legend in Lombok. She was plugged from a cliff to the sea and disappeared. Yeah, besides famous for its wonderful place, Seger beach also known as a legend beach.

What kind of legend? Who is she? She is Mandalika, a princess of a kingdom. She had an extraordinary beauty, because of that many princes from neighbour’s kingdom wanted to marry her. She was confused, anyone prince she choose will lead the war in the kingdom. So… for the sake of peace in her kingdom country, she choosen to jump from a cliff to the Seger sea and didn’t choose anyone to be her husband. Mandalika immortalized as a bus station’s name in Mataram and there is tradition ceremony every year to celebrate that phenomenon event. The celebration is “Bau Nyale”.

Ciberang river is located in Lebak, Rangkasbitung, Banten. You can go about 3 hours by mini bus Bogor-Rangkasbitung from Baranangsiang (Bogor’s bus station), and stop in Cipanas (operator’s place). This river flow is in to region of Halimun Salak Mt National Park. So, that’s why there is many big trees on the edge of river. It has clear water, and rather brown when the debit is high. Rock on the river still looks a lot there, you will be much stuck when the river debit is low. Like i put on the title, rapids in Ciberang is quite challenging. There are variety of rapids which can explode our adrenaline.

Such as Selamat datang rapid (the first rapid on Ciberang), Zig zag rapid, Gajah rapid (a big rapid), Golden gate rapid (rapid formed from descendant dam), Goodbye rapid, and 2nd dam descendant rapid (provided by operator if streamflow of river is possible). One more a thing that can trigger your adrenaline in Ciberang… A gate! Locals called it Bungawari gate. What’s special from a gate? High of the gate is about 7 meters, and river’s depth under the gate is about 3-5 meters. So, u can try to jump here and feel another sensation when ur body splash to river water from the gate.
